The Living Philosophy of Yoga

  • Motive Yoga Co 31 West Chewuch Road Suite 108 Winthrop, WA, 98862 United States (map)

WE ALL WANT TO EXPERIENCE FULFILLMENT IN LIFE, AND WE HOPE THAT OUR YOGA PRACTICE WILL LEAD US THERE.

Join Stacey on the 1st Sunday of each month to explore the philosophy of yoga with teachers and curious students. This free class is for everyone who is interested in the true meaning of yoga.

Most modern yoga is based on Patañjali's Yoga Sutras, or "threads", written thousands of years ago. The Yoga Sutras are a practical textbook to guide your spiritual journey of remembering who you REALLY are. The Sutras are divided into four chapters which discuss the aims and practice of yoga, the development of yogic powers, and finally, liberation. The Sutras are as relevant today as they were thousands of years ago in helping us understand our lives and enrich our spiritual journey. This class will delve deeply into the true purpose of yoga through unpacking the Yoga Sutras.

You will need access to an interpretation of the Sutras. We have many commentaries in the Motive Library, which you are welcome to borrow.
