The Workshops

  • NATURE AS TEACHER | FRIDAY 4/19 , 4-6pm,
    30 min talk then a movement practice
    Embark on a transformative journey where we align with the natural cycles in nature for enhanced well-being. Acquire the skill of reading nature's subtle cues, empowering you to make mindful choices that not only resonate with the current season but also contribute to the reciprocity between your lifestyle and the harmonious rhythms of the environment. This workshop combines both dynamic movement and enlightening lectures, guiding you towards a deeper connection with nature and a more balanced, mindful existence.

  • SPRING SEASONAL LOVE & YIN ELEMENTAL BATH | SATURDAY 4/20, 11:30am-2:30pm, Intro talk (30 min), Active Practice 1.5 hour - Yin Practice 1 hour
    Ancient yogis skillfully guided their students to attune to life's natural rhythms, both daily and seasonal. By dedicating a little extra time each season to adapt your practice, your body will generously respond with heightened efficiency and energy. Immerse yourself in our class to deepen your love for yoga as we explore Melina’s favorite Hatha Yoga-inspired movements, with a focus on harmonizing the earth and water elements.

    Following the active segment of the class, delve into the tranquility of Yin Yoga and Poetry, artfully woven around the Five Ayurvedic Elements: Earth, Water, Fire, Air, and Space. Explore the depths of these elements to unearth their wisdom, fostering a profound connection with nature, self, and the world. Through Yin-inspired poses, nurture unwavering presence, compassion, and curiosity across body, mind, and spirit. This journey is an invitation to fall even more deeply in love with your practice, where the timeless teachings of ancient yogis seamlessly blend with the contemporary dance of life.

  • SUNDAY GRACE: DEEPER PRACTICE WITH YOGA AND AYURVEDA | SUNDAY 4/21, 11:30am-1:30pm
    30min talk with a 90min practice
    Join us for the final session and reunite with fellow yogis. Dive into NEW yoga moves, explore daily rituals, and learn how to deepen your practice on and off the mat in these modern times and changing seasons. Together, we'll craft sequences to balance your constitution and establish routines, embracing the sacredness of every day with grace and compassion.

 

About Melina 

Melina Meza is a pioneer in the field of yoga, nutrition, and Ayurvedic Health, sharing her knowledge with yogis around the world for almost 30 years! She is the creator of Seasonal Vinyasa Yoga, a holistic practice that features lifestyle, diet, and yoga practices tailored to the rhythms of the four seasons to help people stay healthy as they age. Her passion for Nature, the five elements, beauty, and humor forge the foundation of her unique approach to well-being.

 

She is the author of Seasonal Health and Wellness and the Art of Sequencing books. Her unique teachings can also be found on Yoga Anytime, YogaUonline, and Gaiamtv.

Melina’s continual growth as a teacher and practitioner has been influenced by studying with numerous instructors, including Dr. Robert Svoboda, Scott Blossom, Sarah Powers, and Gary Kraftsow. Retreats and sabbaticals are also vital to Melina’s personal practice and bring her deeper reflection and inspiration.
