There are a million good reasons to get away. Stepping out of our day-to-day and into a new world provides discovery, adventure, perspective and reset. We specialize in programs that combine our need to play outside with our love for yoga.

A bucket-list trip into the Arctic mountains of the Lofoten Islands.
April 7-14, 2019

Calling all powder loving people...

This is our third year hosting the ultimate week of ski touring and yoga in the remote, pristine mountains of Lofoten, Norway. The Lofoten Islands are located just north of the Arctic Circle at latitude 68 where the Northern Lights are bright and the snowpack is supreme.

Our home-base for the week, Lofoten Ski Lodge, is beautiful lodge perched on the salty, frigid Northern Atlantic Ocean. It has cozy fireside lounges, delicious Norwegian cousine, renovated fisherman’s cabins, a jacuzzi and sauna with sea views.

Ski touring is the main dish on this program.  Your week includes 4 days of guided ski touring with daily yoga to unwind and restore for your next big day in the mountains. We incorporate two rest/weather days to use when conditions are not optimal.

Ski Touring: our guides are pros at designing tours based on your fitness and ski level and their knowledge of the terrain is your ticket to some of the most incredible touring you’ll ever experience. After skiing you’ll return to the lodge for Norwegian waffle happy hour, restorative yoga, sauna soaking and beer by the fire. *Touring experience is not required but you must already be a proficient skier.

Yoga: Bree focuses on how yoga can support your physical and mental health. She uses an anatomy-smart approach to restore your body after a full day of touring and will help you tap into “vacation-mode” with breath and meditation. Yoga classes are designed for all levels.

This weekend is all about relaxing and having fun with other women in the Methow's winter wonderland. Whether you are brand new to the sport or are an experienced skier, there is something for everyone; our expert coaching team will help you become more proficient in both skate and classic skiing in a friendly, supportive environment. New to skiing? We have instructors for every level. Each year people start their ski careers during this weekend.

Each day starts with yoga, fuel for the day with a delicious breakfast, then morning and afternoon ski sessions (with a break for more delicious food, of course) on all the pristine groomed trails Sun Mountain has to offer. Top it off with a post-ski stretch, and relax with new friends.

During your free time, try some snowshoeing or fat biking; sit with a good book at the fire; take in the beautiful mountain views with a soothing soak in the hot tub; or get a reviving massage for your tired muscles. With ski and yoga instruction for every level, everyone can treat themselves to this wonderful weekend. Take a peek at last year's schedule here.

A women's trail running and yoga retreat in the beautiful spring mountains of Winthrop, WA.
April 18-21, 2019

It's the seventh annual Women's Trail Running and Yoga Retreat hosted by our partner Cascade Endurance.  Yoga is taught by Motive's founder, Bree Dillon.

Join us for an extended getaway to experience the best the Methow has to offer: sun, fun trails, snow-capped mountain views, wildflowers, and relaxation in a beautiful place. We'll be based at Winthrop's Sun Mountain Lodge so you can drive in on Thursday and not get in your car until you leave on Sunday. They also have the best hot tub view of any I've seen.

Bree Dillon of Motive Yoga Co is our yoga leader. She brings a wealth of knowledge and experience working with athletes of all kinds, helping them find more balance in their active lives. We're excited to combine forces to bring you a more cohesive weekend of running, yoga, and how to transfer what you learn and practice this weekend to your daily life.

Late April brings myriad wildflowers valley-wide. We'll tour the area on daily runs (or twice daily if you're so inclined) lasting between one and four hours. You'll have the chance to work on running technique, learn how to stay injury-free and how to eat for optimal performance with nourishing meals to fuel and refuel. Or, spend time between runs and yoga practice just hanging out by the pool: this retreat is for everyone!

Interested in what the weekend is about? Read Michele's account of the 2015 event or check out these beautiful photos by Hannah Dewey Photography. For the tentative schedule, click here.

The plan: wake up, eat yummy food, run, eat yummy food, practice yoga, relax, eat yummy food, sleep, repeat.

Cost: $395. Includes the following:
