So, you want to become a better rock climber. Why not have a good time while doing just that. Many adapt naturally to rock climbing simply by pure interest in the sport. Buuuut, technique of crack climbing would appear to be more of an acquired skill. This is why we choose to offer this program in Indian Creek near Moab Utah. This program will help you turn a challenging aspect of the sport into a pleasured past time. Join Mark Allen, of the Mountain Bureau LLC, and Bree Dillon of Motive Yoga Co, on this collaborative crack climbing skills camp suited for the beginners and the avid yogis/climbers alike.

Climbing: Rock climbing at Indian Creek is quickly becoming a climbers right of passage. Scaling the cracked  walls of Indian Creek’s parallel walled cracks in the red Windgate sandstone, is a major part in a modern climber’s progression. There is not a better season or place to hone your crack climbing skills than in this majestic desert venue. With easy access low commitment climbing, Indian Creek is an internationally renown venu for those wanting to improve the craft of crack climbing. It also is one of the most striking venues in the Southwest and is set up well for you to share experiences as a group and community.

Yoga: This desert river valley bound by high canyon rim walls is a stunnin outdoor studio. Soft red desert sand, scents of sage, cool mornings and nights make rolling your mat out for a yoga practice not only possible but inspiring. Your body with thank you as each day we’ll practice to the rhythm of the rising and setting sun. This practice will give you an opportunity to experience yoga giving energy and recovery from our climbing activity and busy lives.

Logistics: We encourage climbers of all skill levels. The program is designed to support needs of the avid climbers looking for a quick get away or for beginners indulging for the first time. Pack a small bag, fly down, and meet us. We have the logistics covered. We offer guided and unguided options while we all benefit from the amazing yoga, basecamp support, yummy catering, and airport transport. We want to make is simple for you, but also give you the flexibility you need to discover on your own.

 
 

Sample Schedule

Arrival Day

Travel Day: Plan to arrive at the Grand Junction airport (GJT) in the afternoon or  early evening. We will provide one shuttle for those flying in.

Guided
Tap into your rock guide's climbing knowledge. Mark will lead, rig, set up anchors and refine your fundamentals of crack climbing.

Unguided
Bring your climbing partner and your guide book and head out on your own. If you want beta ask one of the guides on the trip.

Registration Process

Program registration is managed by the Mountain Bureau LLC.  Please follow these steps:

Complete the online registration form. (This initiates steps 2 and 3 but is non-committing).

Make a $200 deposit to hold your spot

Pay in full within 60 days of program start date
